About the event
Course overview
In the field of dentistry, advancements in technology have revolutionized the way dental care is delivered, particularly in the realm of prosthodontics. The development of digital dentistry has brought about significant changes in the fabrication of dentures, offering patients and practitioners innovative options for restoring function and aesthetics. Traditional analog processes have been the standard in denture fabrication for many years, but the emergence of digital full dentures has introduced a new paradigm in the creation of prosthetic appliances for edentulous patients.
This course seeks to provide an overview of digital full dentures shedding light on the techniques, benefits, and considerations associated with this approach.
Digital Full Dentures with LUCITONE Print:
Digital full dentures represent a groundbreaking innovation in the realm of prosthodontics, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to enhance the design and fabrication process. This approach involves the utilization of computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems, 3D imaging, and advanced software to create highly precise, customized dentures.
During the course we will demonstrate the process of digitization of the patient with digital impressions of the patient's oral anatomy, captured primescan Destply Sirona intraoral scanner, facial scanning technology and incorporating patient specific jaw movements recorded live with modjaw.
We will utilize Dental CAD software 3shape and exocad to design the denture with meticulous attention to detail, taking into account factors such as the patient's bite, facial aesthetics, and functional requirements. This digital design will be used to fabricate the denture base and prosthetic teeth using 3D printing techniques with Lucitone Print materials on the Asiga UV Max 3D printers. The result on these 3D printers is highly accurate, and the customized prosthesis can offer an optimal fit and improved esthetics, as well as enhanced comfort and function for the patient.
This digital workflow will allow efficient communication between the dental team, enabling collaborative input and adjustments throughout the design and production phases for the best outcome for the patient.
Breakfast and Lunch will be provided
